Bay Area Anarchist Book Fair March 16-17 2013

For the first time, the book fair will be held at The Armory Community
Center, located in San Francisco’s Mission District at the corner of
14th Street and Mission.

The Bay Area Anarchist Book Fair is a free two-day event presented by
Bound Together Bookstore.

Each year, the book fair brings together over 75 radical booksellers,
distributors, independent presses, and political groups from around
the world, and features books, pamphlets, zines, art, crafts, and
information. The two-day fair includes dozens of speakers, panels, and
workshops as well as an art show. Previous vendors and speakers are
listed on the website.

Vendor applications and pricing for tables will be available mid
August.  This year, for the first time, we will be featuring a craft
area for handmade and non-book items.  To receive a table application,
please email abookfair@yahoo.com, or check the website.

Authors and activists interested in speaking at the book fair should
email abookfair@yahoo.com.

booking designers for Holiday trunk show at 111 Minna Gallery – Dec 5

Hope all is well. This is Irene from Chillin’ Productions and Wonderland Sf gallery and Boutique. I am writing because I am booking designers for our annual Holiday show. Show will be Dec 5, 2012 at 111 Minna Gallery
I decided to do something a bit more intimate this time and one of the places where Chillin’ Productions got started. I get booked really fast so if you are interested please reply as soon as possible
As always my shows are free for designers to vend. However the following is required. If you can’t not fulfill all of the info below this is not the show for you:
  1. Designers can only be doing our trunk show that day
  2. Designers must pick up flyers from me
  3. Designers are expected to send an email blast
  4. Designers are expected to promote through social media (facebook/twitter/etc
  5. Designers must post event on their website
  6. You must be a local designer
Show is December 5 at 111 Minna Gallery from 6pm-12pm
We will feature 60 designers/dj’s/Live music and art
We been doing this shows for free for the last 14 years and my goal has always been to support our local talent

Looking for Vendors – Tables are $40.00/ $5.00 more for electricity. Please get back soon as you.  There is a  limit quantity of Vendors selling the same things. Inner Sunset – Dec 9th- Irving Street between 9th and 10th Avenue

Inner Sunset Sundays is a cross between a block party, a festival, and a street fair.  Invited are the whole neighborhood to help create a public space  where we can all enjoy community. The event on Dec 9th will feature art and crafts vendors, food, music, and games.

Benicia Main Street Holiday Market – Dec 8th

The parade starts at 10 a.m. at First and D Street and ends at H Street. The parade features local marching bands, dancers, and the much-anticipated Santa Claus. The Holiday Market features handcrafted arts & crafts, gourmet items and delicious foods.

100 Acts of Sewing is the project of fiber artist Sonya Philip, which through exhibits and workshops aims to increase awareness of how clothes are made and promote the accessibility of SEWING. Visit Sonya and watch her create one of her dresses on site.

Boarding All Rows will be showing attendees how to design and carve a LINOLEUM BLOCK PRINT. Take home a special linocut print to remember the San Francisco Bazaar. (Sunday December 2nd ONLY)

Make some POSTAGE THEMED ART with the San Francisco Correspondence Co-op at their Creation Station!

Check out a book at the San Francisco Public Library’s BOOKMOBILE, which is parked right outside our entrance

Join the CHAIN MAIL GANG at The Crucible‘s booth, where they’ll show you how to make some awesome jewelry from this ancient craft!

Tom Foolery will be in the DIY Fun House with their whimsical San Francisco Bazaar themed OPEN-AIR PHOTOBOOTH

Sweet Dreams and Turning Heads will be teaching attendees how to make fleece Tooth Fairy Pillows for children. Children ages 6 and up are welcome to participate but must be accompanied by an adult.

When you’ve finished your shopping, eating, and crafting, take your silk screened wrapping paper over to the San Francisco Youth Employment Coalition’s DIY WRAPPING STATION

These workshops and MORE, will be for FREE TO ATTENDEES. Consider showing some love to the folks in the DIY Fun House by shopping or donating at their booths. Most are run by San Francisco non-profits who do good things for our local youth and art community!

Holiday Bazaar- Vendors Wanted – San Leandro – Dec 1

Bay School PTA in San Lorenzo is putting on a Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, December 1st from 10-2, in their multipurpose room.

We are looking for crafty people, or independent consultants to rent a table or 2. Cost for a table is $25 until 11/16, after that the table price goes up to $35.

All registrations must be paid for by 11/26.

Winter Bazaar Oakland School for the Arts – Dec 1

Please join the 2nd annual free Winter Bazaar at the Oakland School for the Arts! Find unique gifts for your holiday shopping while supporting this fabulous school and the local community. In addition, visitors can stop at Santa’s Grotto, listen to performances from the OSA Music Departments, participate in a multi-gift raffle, and enjoy delicious food from our cafe.
