Craft Fair in El Cerrito – June 13

Mark your calendars for Sunday June 13th. Playland not at the beach in El Cerrito will be hosting its first time ever Craft Fair. Local vendors will be able to display and sell there handy work outside on the sidewalk along San Pablo ave. Times will follow, but mark your calendar for that day. Limited vendor space is available but if you are a vendor or know of someone who is, we are looking for a few more. We want to make sure we have a variety of goods, so if you are interested in being a part of this event just email me back with what types of items you make, photos if you have any, and i will get back to you soon. Looking forward to hearing from everyone. It should be a great event since it is right on the main thoroughfare.(San Pablo ave.)………..Vicki….

Festa Italiana Community Street Fair – San Mateo – Sunday, July 25

The Festa Foundation sponsored Festa Italiana Community Street Fair is one of the biggest annual events in San Mateo. For the past 20 years, people have come from all over the Bay Area to shop for art and handmade goods, sample Italian cuisine, listen to music, and take in the spectacular display at our annual chalk art gallery.  Join us on Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 10 am to 5 pm on North B Street between Tilton and 2nd Avenues in downtown San Mateo. The Street Fair kicks off at 10 am with an exciting parade that travels down B Street to the main stage in front of the Peninsula Italian American Social Club.

Solano Avenue Stroll – Sunday – September 12th 2010 10AM to 6PM

Since 1974, The Merchants, Restaurants, and Professionals, as well as the twin cities of Albany and Berkeley CA, have hosted the Solano Avenue Stroll, the East Bay’s largest street festival! The Solano Avenue Merchants Association invites you to come and see what makes Solano Avenue such a wonderful place.  26 blocks of free fun!

The fun begins at 8 a.m. with the traditional pancake breakfast at Veterans’ Memorial Park in Albany brought to you by the Berkeley Lions Club. Then, the opening of Solano Avenue businesses and Stroll booths at 10AM. But the real kickoff is the theme parade with about 100 groups at 10AM.

After the parade, you can visit one of 75 entertainers, 50 food booths, 150 juried arts and crafters, games, wacky art cars, and almost 200 community non-profit and government organizations, not to mention the unique and popular professional services, restaurants, and shops already here on Solano Avenue.

Inner Sunset Street Fair: A San Francisco Bazaar Curated Event!

This event, co-organized by Inner Sunset Park Neighbors and Inner Sunset Merchants’ Association, is to bring together the Inner Sunset neighborhood for a day of fun and community building.

San Francisco Bazaar is curating the craft vendor section of this fair. This neighborhood is where the Holiday San Francisco Bazaar has been taking place for the last 3 years. The show is located around the bustling 9th Ave. & Irving corridor which gets a lot of foot traffic on the weekends and coincides with the merchant sidewalk sale.

SIXTH ANNUAL ASIAN HERITAGE STREET CELEBRATION – MAY 15th – Civic Center

The 6th Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration (www.asianfairsf.com) wants to showcase artists and craftspeople at its event, Saturday, May 15, 2010, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., Larkin St. corridor between the Asian Art Museum and Little Saigon in San Francisco. Last year’s event drew over 80,000 people. The cost of a booth is nominal – $200 given the exposure, the opportunity to expand your customer base and, of course make some sales!!! Feria Urbana – May 7th, 2010‏ – Oakland

Feria Urbana is coming back to ‘The New Parish,’  579 18th Street in Oakland, on Friday May 7th 2010; 6 P.M. – 9:30 P.M.   It’s the 1st Friday, so Oakland’s Art Murmur will be going on, so people will be out and about in uptown Oakland. Also Mother’s Day is Sunday May 9th, so good last minute shopping for Mom.  The space available is acquired on a first-come basis, as well as making sure your product/s are the right mix;  providing a good range of  items for shoppers.  
Table fee is $75. The event is to take place in the nightclub (and if weather is nice in the courtyard as well.) The fee includes the space and marketing… listings in local websites, magazines, and newspapers, posters, an
HTML email to forward to your list about the event.  Additionally,  each artist/designer will receive postcards with event information and list of all displaying artist/designers.     
If you are interested in participating send in your application and payment as soon as possible since the  event is happening soon.  The official deadline is in April 10th, 2010. 
 Applicants will be  notified of acceptance just after the deadline date.

How Weird Street Faire – Sunday May 9th – Noon to 8pm

Ten blocks of art and celebration, and ten stages of music. Performances and colorful costumes, vendors from around the world, food and drinks, and a new world record!

The How Weird Street Faire is an experiment in creating peace, bringing together a wide range of styles and communities. Come join the fun. All ages welcome. Costumes highly encouraged.

There will be over 70 vendors from around the world, selling unique and creative wares. Two specialty vending zones called Fashion Alley (showcasing top designs) and Shanti Street (a healing arts zone) are being added this year.
