TAKE A STAND, SIT FOR CHANGE: 3rd Annual Sit-A-Thon
is a dynamic, informative and inspiring daylong event, featuring hourly sessions of sitting, walking and moving meditation; yoga; green and healthy lifestyle exhibits; and live music and spoken word.
SIT FOR CHANGE is an invitation for individuals, groups and organizations “to take a stand and sit for change” in their communities, cities and the world by inviting them to explore new ideas for creating social change. Hosted by the Center of Transformative Change (CXC) which is the first national center entirely dedicated to bridging the inner and outer lives of social change agents, activists and allies to support a more effective, more sustainable social justice movement for all.

*Social Justice Organizations are defined as not-for-profit organizations that work to secure safety, security and/or self-determination, i.e.; to restore just and equitable opportunity and access, on behalf of historically oppressed and/or marginalized people including, but not limited to: ethnic minorities, people of color, at-risk youth, indigenous peoples, LGBTIQ people, people with disabilities or limited abilities, etc. Priority for free space will be given to organizations that use transformative/personal development practices to guide their work. You may ‘purchase’ a free space for a $25 deposit which will be refunded on the day of the event if you attend. Limited number of free spaces available. You may register on the day of the event for any remaining available free spaces.
