12th Annual Walk & Shop – Oakland – Oct 19th

Join the 12th Annual Walk & Shop event and celebrate 35 years of dedication in promoting awareness and prevention of Domestic & Teen Dating Violence.

This year, merchandise vendors will be a new addition to our event. Local artists, such as the Edna Brewer Middle School Band, Praise Dancers, and “SUN IN ME” and many more, will also share their talents in this memorable celebration.

The merchants are set up on the beautiful lawn area with 16 corner spaces assigned with the additional 15 spaces on the surrounding pavement area, with high volume of attendances through the entire event site. Food truck vendors will be set up on Bellevue Avenue, along the park side area.

Since we are serving an upscale crowd of attendance from the surrounding areas of Lake Merritt, Oakland, we will only invite new and handcrafted merchants to become a part of our event.

Supporting the 2013 Walk & Shop event is a great way for anyone to give back to their community and show solidarity in helping eradicate violence within. A Safe Place, Inc. Oakland’s only Domestic Violence Assistance and Shelter Program, exists to Break the Cycle of Domestic & Teen Dating Violence by providing battered victims and their children with safe shelter and resources. Without your support, we could not continue to provide domestic violence prevention services to our clients.

All of our proceeds will be applied to serving our clients and other awareness programs. We thank you in advance and look forward seeing you there~
