Make's new Green Project Contest: Tag your Green

Make Magazine launched the Green Project Contest sponsored by GE and their Ecomagination initiative, Tag Your Green. This is a very large program Make has launched and they are encouraging participation by either posting your DIY Green Projects and/or by voting the green project that inspires you. Project categories include “Conservation,” “Recycle,” “Renewable Resources,” “Transport,” and “Other.”

Starting now until the end of year. The community will be able to vote on the projects they deem to be the most green. The project with the most votes will win a trip for two to one of our Maker Faire’s in 2011.

In addition to the contest, Make is also producing a series of videos called Maker Pioneers. Make will be featuring different makers and their projects that are solving energy and environmental challenges. The first video features Saul Griffith.
