invitational craft fest 2008

Bedford gallery, a program of the city of Walnut Creek, is hosting its first-ever invitational craft fest on Saturday, November 15, from 10am to 5pm.
The Bedford gallery is located in downtown Walnut Creek, inside the Lesher Center for the Arts. Over the years, our exhibitions have focused on topics from hot rods to tapestries; shoes to space travel. Craft holds a special place in our hearts, and our Curator Carrie Lederer has put together many shows on craft, including woodworking, embroidery, and knitting. Our Fall exhibition for 2008 will be, Untold Stories: Early American Quilts from the Collection of Susan Brooks. This exhibition will be up during the craft fest and vendors will have a table inside the gallery.
Vendor tables measure 6 ft by 2.5ft and cost $50.00. Space is limited, so please register early. You may also bring tabletop display pieces to augment your space. Sharing tables is allowed, but please provide info for all artists.
The Bg Craft Fest will showcase handmade jewelry, clothes, paper goods, silk-screening, toys, zines and more! Marketing will reach over 4,000 members on our mailing list as well as local press, radio and web promotions, as well as coverage in Diablo Arts magazine with a circulation of 75,000.
Because we have seen your work in person and have specifically invited YOU to participate, you don’t need to apply for entry. Just give us the basic info below and enclose with your check as fast as you can. We need one jpeg image from each artist that represents your craft. Email image to trinca@bedfordgallery.org by Oct 31 to reserve your space.
Hope to hear from you soon,
