2017 Winter Crafts Fair – Berkeley

Holiday shopping can be rough, especially if you care about responsibly sourced goods and supporting your local economy. Have no fear! Shop local this year at the Ecology Center’s 26th Annual Winter Craft Fair and find sustainably made, hand-crafted, and beautiful gifts from Bay Area artisans.

For two Saturdays in December, Downtown Berkeley Farmers’ Market welcomes local artists, artisans, and crafters that are committed to using sustainable practices. Find upcycled messenger bags, gorgeous wooden bowls from sustainably harvested wood, nontoxic jewelry, wildcrafted and natural body products. Peruse gifts while getting your grocery shopping done at the Farmers’ Market and good music.

Thank you for your interest in the Farmers’ Market Winter Crafts Fair, a benefit for the Ecology Center. The 26th annual Farmers’ Market Winter Crafts Fair will be held on Saturday, December 16 and Saturday, December 23 from 10am to 3pm. The Crafts Fair will happen RAIN OR SHINE. We will be advertising the event widely in the local media and with posters, postcards, flyers, and signs, and also promoting the event online through social media.

All items offered for sale must:

• Be made locally by the seller or employees (non-profit organizations raising funds for their work may be granted exemptions to this rule on a case-by-case basis).
• Be considered for their environmental impact. Focusing on crafts that demonstrate reuse, sustainability, and health of people and planet is what makes the Ecology Center Crafts Fair unique. Please review our Environmental Guide for Crafts before submitting an application to our Crafts Fair.
• Not compete directly with items being sold by our weekly vendors in the farmers’ market.
• The fee for participating is 10% of your gross income each day, in addition to a non-refundable $25 registration fee for each day for which a space is reserved for you, or $40 for both days of the market. Booth spaces will be 10 ft. x 10 ft. No tables, chairs, or canopies will be available on site.

To be considered for participation in this year’s fair: submit the application below by October 13, 2017 at 5:00pm PST. Do not send money with your application.

Grateful Day Festival – Oct 14, 2017 – Berkeley

On October 14th Telegraph Avenue will be closed to cars and open to festivities!  This is to celebrate what we are grateful for after the wonderful Summer of Love.  Come enjoy a day full of music, wonderful vendors, food and community.  Craftsmen are traveling from around the state to show their works of art and crafts.

Friends of Pleasanton Senior Center – Oct 21, 2017

Friends of the Pleasanton Senior Center Craft Fair is the perfect place to get an early start on your holiday shopping!  This annual event returns for the third year to support the Senior Center’s nonprofit fundraising efforts.   Talented local artists will be in attendance featuring a wide assortment of handmade items such as jewelry, pottery, purses, bags, aprons, embroidered shirts, baby clothing, wooden toys, home decor, doll clothes, knitted scarves, hats, sweaters, and more.  That unique gift you’ve been looking for won’t be hard to find at our Crafts Fair!

Olive Festival – On the Dominican Grounds of the Historic Old Mission San Jose – Sat & Sun Oct 7 & 8

If you are interested in having your arts & crafts work, or food product displayed or for sale at the Olive Festival, please review our vendor application information.

General Information

  • Booths are approximately 10′ x 10′ in size
  • Vendors are accepted on a first come, first served basis
  • Covered booths are required — no umbrellas
  • Electricity is not available
  • Small, quiet generators are acceptable

Due to limited space, we urge you to mail your registration in as soon as possible. All applications will be juried.  The Mission San Jose Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to choose and/or decline merchandise that is felt to be inappropriate.

Arts and Crafts

  • Merchandise must be handmade or handcrafted.
  • You must have a State Board of Equalization number (Seller’s Permit), and a City of Fremont Business License.

2017 Danville Fallfest – Sat Oct 21, 2017 – Sun Oct 22, 2017 (10am – 5pm)

Known as the fair of 1000 pumpkins, the Danville Fallfest brings together 200 of California’s best artists and premier craftsmen and craftswomen for an old fashioned fall community event. The fair site is Hartz Avenue, a quaint, tree-lined street with upscale shops.

Spaces are 10′ x 10′ and arranged back to back down the middle of Hartz Avenue. Set up begins at 4:00 am and is strictly regulated.

ONGOING JURY DATES:  March 1, May 15, July 20, October 1. Please note that either a category or the entire show could close prior to a scheduled jury date. Artists should apply early to avoid getting a category full response to their late application.

Artist Fee is $300 per space.  Guaranteed corner space: $100.

9th Annual Arts & Crafts Fair at Albany Middle School on Sunday, Dec 3 from11am-3pm.

This fair attracts both kid and adult artists and is a wonderful community event that offers delicious baked goods, local artists and incredible music! We have many shoppers doing their holiday gift shopping and many fair goers who love to find high-quality art and craftwork.
All proceeds go to AMS PTA programs. As always, we ask for a voluntary donation of 20% of your sales to support Albany kids’ development and enrichment.
Please note that each artist is responsible for bringing his/her own 6′ table and chair. We’ve simplified our floorplan and we ask only 6′ tables be used. Each table space is $35 and you can bring multiple tables if you like.
